FSC Outlines New APHSS Performer Health Program

The Free Speech Coalition hosted an industry-exclusive meeting yesterday at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, California, to provide an overview of the new Adult Production Health and Safety Services testing and treatment program for XXX talent, which has been created to replace the recently closed AIM Medical Associates, P.C. clinic.

APHSS will be headed by FSC Executive Director Diane Duke, attorney Jeffery Douglas, workplace safety attorney Karen Tynan, clinical virologist Dr. Gary Richwald, Evil Angel honcho Christian Mann and Kink.com Founder Peter Acworth.

The FSC will assemble and receive input from an advisory council, which will consist of performers, producers and agents. The committee is expected to be in place by the end of June.

Duke said APHSS will provide talent a list of recommended labs nationwide and will ensure these providers understand and respect the needs of adult performers. The standard three-panel test will cost $130 and check for HIV, gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Duke also stated that these labs will work with a secure database to protect the privacy of performers. The catalog will only list information on the talent’s availability for work, with no medical data being disclosed. Acworth, who is greatly experienced in dealing with hackers on his own website, is handling the technical aspects of the new database and is confident the planned precautions will ensure the privacy of performers.

Talent may now pre-register to be part of the APHSS database here, with pre-registration for agents and producers beginning soon. The cost is $50 per year for performers, $150 a month for producers and FSC members and $250 per month for non-members of FSC.
