The Free Speech Coalition posted the following on its official blog today:
The Board of Directors of the Free Speech Coalition is proud to announce that Diane Duke has accepted a new three-year contract to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the adult industry’s trade association.
“Duke’s tenure with the organization is marked by extraordinary achievements,” said FSC Board President, Sidney Grief. “She has brought fiscal discipline and transparency to the Free Speech Coalition, impressing long-time critics of the organization’s operations, leading to important industry figures recommitting to our trade association.”
Some of the numerous highpoints of her leadership include directing the battle against ICM Registry’s failed .XXX top level domain; opposing the efforts by the State of California to enforce emergency room standards to adult film shoots; establishment of an effective replacement for AIM database; providing a valuable range of anti-piracy tools for studios; and organizing a broad-based coalition of business groups, HIV activists and industry leaders to fight the misguided and industry-hostile L.A. County mandatory condom initiative on the ballot this November. Duke’s poise and professionalism have helped to convey a pro-industry message to media and the public, bringing wide recognition to the organization.
“In addition to her accomplishments as the industry’s chief policy executive, her administration of FSC itself has been spectacular,” added President Grief, owner of AAA News, a successful Texas adult retail chain. “She has recruited extraordinary staff, people committed to the mission of improving the lives of the people who make up the adult industry. She has dramatically improved every aspect of the operation.”
Board Chair Jeffrey J. Douglas noted, “Duke has also brought the entire industry credibility in her relationships with non-adult interest groups and legislatures. Whether in Sacramento, Washington, D.C. or the international stage of ICANN, she is respected and admired. Diane has nurtured successful relationships long needed for the industry to thrive, including chambers of commerce, health care providers, the MPAA and financial institutions. She has inspired some of the nation’s finest lawyers to provide free or substantially discounted services to benefit the industry as a whole. She is esteemed by the widest possible range of the disparate and often contentious leaders of the contemporary adult industry. The adult industry is privileged to have her as its principal – and principled – voice.”
The Board of Directors offers its heartiest congratulations and deepest appreciation to CEO Diane Duke.
XBIZ reports that adult performer Sledge Hammer died of “neck trauma, a severe lack of oxygen to the brain and an inflammation of airways to his lungs,” according to an official from the Los Angeles coroner’s office.
The autopsy results revealed the exact causes of Sledge Hammer’s death to be “neck compression,” “acute anoxic encephalopathy” and “aspiration pneumonia.” However, the L.A. County Assistant Chief Coroner told XBIZ that it remains unclear what led to these conditions.
Sledge Hammer passed away this past April after falling into a coma due to cardiac arrest following an altercation with L.A.P.D. officers several days prior. The incident began when his girlfriend, fellow adult talent Alexa Cruz, called 911 when it appeared Sledge Hammer might be suicidal. Police twice used a taser to try and subdue the performer when he resisted their attempts to take him to the hospital in an ambulance before bodily force from a number of officers finally got Sledge Hammer under control, an L.A.P.D. spokesperson said at the time.
L.A.P.D. Commander Andrew Smith confirmed that an internal investigation into police’s handling of the incident is still ongoing.
In addition to the autopsy findings, toxicology results have also been completed, but are not available at this time.

August 30, 2012 — LOS ANGELES, CA — The trailer for B. Skow’s “Model House Invasion” is now available industry-wide. Successfully debuting on popular adult site Fleshbot.com last week, the trailer garnered thousands of views and great acclaim. In addition to making the trailer readily available to media, retailers, and distributors, Skow Digital has released the sexy box art as well.

Exile Distribution will begin shipping the “Model House Invasion” 2-disc DVD on September 12. To view the promotional sales flyer and download the box art and photos, visit http://skoweflyer.com/modelhouseinvasion/.
“Model House Invasion” is the sophomore release from Skow Digital. The must-see movie documents 6 porn stars working and playing in the same house. It’s over 5 hours of content, including 6 hardcore boy / girl scenes and 6 masturbation scenes.
“I’m glad to know the trailer has been so well received,” states B. Skow. “I’m thankful to Fleshbot for their eagerness to premiere the trailer exclusively, and am happy to make it available to all media and retailers.”
“‘Model House Invasion’ is gritty, messy, and displays some seriously raw manners, and that’s why we’re excited about it coming out,” wrote Fleshbot.com Associate Editor Ottimo Massimo. “Alexa Rydell, Aubrey Sky, Liv Aguilera, Sabrina Taylor, and Sierra Sanders get to flex their ‘tudes and their twats for the camera in a movie that blends reality and pornography into a perfectly sweet and satisfying smoothie from which you occasionally slurp-up discomforting crunchy bits.”
Massimo continued, “If you’re the kind of person who likes behind-the-scenes material, or if you’ve ever thought that MTV’s ‘Real World’ was too high-budget and not hardcore enough, then ‘Model House Invasion’ is most certainly for you.”
In “Model House Invasion,” director B. Skow showed up at 9 am at a private residence in the San Fernando Valley where adult agency Type 9 Models houses many of its starlets. There were 6 girls home, and they weren’t expecting him until later in the day.
The porn stars featured in “Model House Invasion” include Sierra Sanders, Aubrey Sky, Morgan Brooke, Liv Aguilera, Alexa Rydell, and Sabrina Taylor.
Viewers see the girls getting out of bed, eating their breakfast of candy bars and Marlboros, showering, and throwing on some makeup. Their lives are filmed exactly as is. Then the girls did what they do best – having some rocking mid-day sex!”
Accompanying B. Skow on his raid of the porn stars’ house in “Model House Invasion” were male performers Rusty Nails, Jerry, Ralph Long, and Tommy Pistol.
To order “Model House Invasion” or “Teen Sex Dolls,” adult retailers, e-tailers, and distributors may contact Exile Distribution at (818) 576-9464 or Howard@ExileDist.com.
Helping to shed some light on the life of a porn director, B. Skow blogs for XCritic.com, a leading adult review and news site. To read his updates on the world of adult entertainment, visit http://www.xcritic.com/blogs/bskow.php.

In an industry constantly faced with adversity, veteran adult performer Mariah Milano has built a successful body of work spanning nearly a decade and a half. Since 1998, Milano has not only established a reputable name in front of the camera, but also helms a network of personal websites in addition to operating her affiliate program, Pornstar Payday.
Milano branched out into the cooking genre earlier this year with the launch of her Dinner With a Porn Star site combining sex appeal and cuisine. Following the success of that venture, Mariah introduced a sister page only a few weeks ago called DinnerWithMariah.com, where fans can enter a monthly raffle to be flown out for a meal with the starlet at one of her favorite restaurants.
Milano announced this week that she will no longer be performing in XXX films and will instead focus on shooting content for her official website and appearing in cam shows.
Mariah kindly granted XXX Wasteland an interview to discuss her retirement, plans for the future, reflections on her career and more.
Obviously, the big news is your recent announcement that you are retiring from performing in adult films. For those unaware, can you explain how and why you arrived at this decision?
I have been out of the game since December 2011, but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I didn’t know if I wanted to make it official or not. The state of the industry now is embarrassing. The girls are all escorting and still shooting scenes, which is so dangerous for everyone else. The testing situation is a mess and I just didn’t enjoy it anymore. It was past due, so I just stopped putting it off and did it officially.
Although you will no longer work for production companies, I read that you will continue to appear in cam shows and shoot content for your official website, MariahXXX.net. On that note, can you tell us about the site and what those who sign up for membership can expect?
My site has nearly 2000 videos and it’s won awards and been nominated every year for five years for AVN and XBIZ Awards. My site is awesome; I do cam shows for my members and will continue to shoot some videos and photos for my sites only.
When you look back on your career, what memories stand out the most during your time as an adult film star?
My first time having an orgasm on camera was in a scene with this Spanish girl. She used a pocket rocket on me while she licked my pussy and I had never come on camera before. It was intense!
I understand you have several cooking-related projects in the works, namely an upcoming cookbook and a deal with European cable networks to shoot weekly cooking segments. Can you tell us about those endeavors?
I started my site, DinnerWithaPornStar.com, and it grew so fast and I got so much feedback, it was crazy. I found out after I started it that other girls had done some cooking stuff, but they all did it naked and it wasn’t about the food.
Can you tell readers what the unique Dinner With a Porn Star page is about?
It’s about cooking and travel with photos of food I have cooked and also restaurants all over the world, complete with photos, videos and reviews.
Let’s go back to the beginning: Can you explain how you initially became interested – and later involved – in the adult industry?
I was 18 and wanted to make money. I ran into a friend who was doing movies and took to me a set.
Speaking as someone who has enjoyed a successful long-term career in the porn business, what advice would you give to men and women aspiring to enter the industry?
I would tell them that everyone they don’t want to know will find out. Their dads and moms will see it. They will be treated like shit by girls and the people that they think are their friends will talk shit. It isn’t easy. And people won’t take you seriously unless you demand respect.
Is there one general misconception about the adult world that you wish you could dispel?
That we aren’t all drug addicts and hookers. That we don’t want you to E-mail pictures of your dick and that if you E-mail and say how bad you want to fuck us, you automatically get dumped into the “Junk” folder forever.
Let’s learn a little bit about Mariah Milano, the person. Can you tell us where you were raised and how you would describe yourself growing up?
I was raised in Chatsworth in the Valley in L.A. It’s the porn capital of the world. I was shy and grouchy. (Laughs)
What are some of your interests and hobbies?
Travel, cooking and spending time on my boat.
Is there one thing about yourself that you feel would surprise most people?
That I don’t crave to fuck 24 hours a day. I also am a writer and I am a certified diver.
Are there any more current or upcoming projects in the works that you would like to mention?
I have a few big things, but I am not permitted to talk about them at this time. But they are big-time and I am very proud!
In closing, is there anything you wish to say to readers?
I love my fans and I hope you check out my sites and follow me on Twitter @MariahMilanoXXX.
