ab332XBIZ reported yesterday that Assembly Bill 332, the piece of legislation mandating condoms on adult film sets, has been modified to push forward its effective date six months to January 1, 2015.

The bill, published yesterday, was altered to clarify language requiring that health and safety programs must be approved by Cal/OSHA for porn producers and now makes provisions only for programs that meet requirements for California’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the bloodborne pathogens standard.

AB 332 advanced earlier this month in the Legislature following a 5-1 vote by the Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media committee in favor of the bill.
