First off, congratulations on being named one of the official Trophy Girls for the 2014 XBIZ Awards show in January. How did it feel to receive the news and are you excited about the role?

Thank you so much! Yes, I am so excited that XBIZ chose me as one of the official Trophy Girls along with the beautiful Jessa Rhodes. It’s such an honor to be the first Australian performer to take on the duties.

You initially entered the erotic industry in 2003. Can you tell us about your path into adult entertainment?

I wanted to get into the adult industry after my first exposure to pornography at around the age of 14 years old. I collected magazines because they were easier to get my hands on than tapes. I started with magazines that I could get at the newsagency; mags like Penthouse, Playboy and The Picture. Then, an older boyfriend introduced me to Score and Voluptuous magazine, which I couldn’t get my hands on as a minor. The models had similar physiques to mine, so I thought they might be interested in shooting me. I waited until I was 18 years old and sent The Score Group some nude photos a friend had taken of me. They organized my flights and accommodation to the States immediately. And the rest is history.

What do you consider some of your greatest memories and proudest moments pertaining to your career?

Launching my official website has definitely been the highlight of my career to date. Being able to produce my own content has been such an amazing experience. I’ve learned so many things and met the most amazing sex-positive people.

You recently appeared in an ABC 2 documentary titled The Vagina Diaries. Can you talk about the program and your involvement in it?

The documentary explored the rising trend of labiaplasty in Australia. I was called upon for an interview because of the claims put forth that pornography is responsible for the trend. I spoke about the role of Australia’s laws in creating a culture that lumps shame on the bodies of women. The laws require magazines to censor the inner labia of models, and this is the case for women’s magazines like Cosmopolitan as well as Penthouse. I also pointed out that the size, colour and shape of a porn performer’s labia has no impact upon their success. If you take an intimate look at the vulvas of the top female performers, you’ll see more variation than similarity.

002_angela_white_Do you have any further aspirations for your career in the future?

Absolutely! But I’m going to keep quiet on my plans. I have lots of things in the works …

You recently launched an official website, AngelaWhite.com. Can you tell us about the site and what those who sign up for membership can expect?

The site is updated every single week with new and exclusive content. Every month there is a new Solo, Girl/Girl, Boy/Girl, BTS/Candid photo and video update. Plus, I do free live webcam shows for members, where they can get to know me and I have live show archive where they can view and download the show after the fact. All videos can be streamed and downloaded in 1080p and photos sets can be viewed on the site or downloaded as a zip folder.

You are widely recognized as Australia’s most well-known adult star. Can you talk about the XXX landscape in your country and discuss the differences between Australia and the United States as it relates to the industry?

The industry is a lot smaller in Australia, but is growing rapidly. There are quite a lot of feminist producers pushing boundaries and creating avant garde, alternative visions for what pornography can be. There is also an emerging scene of producers who are filming higher-end scenes in the unique Australian landscape. There is great potential for Australia to be a leader in the adult world, but the strict laws in regards to the production and distribution of hardcore content continues to cause problems for the industry.

Is there one misconception about the adult business that you wish you could dispel?

I’m tired of hearing the same worn-out radical feminist assertion that performers are abused and degraded in the industry. One of the tenets of feminism is that women should have a voice to speak for themselves, yet certain rad-fems are not only claiming to speak for us, but are actually speaking over the top of us.

Many performers have publicly spoken about their positive experiences in the industry and they are not in the minority. It’s incredibly offensive and patronizing that certain feminists ignore the voices of the women they claim to protect. I’m not an apologist for the adult industry, and if any company or producer mistreats a performer or crew member they should be called out for it and legal action should be taken. However, I would like to dispel the misconceptions promulgated by rad-fems that women don’t have agency in their decisions to enter and remain in the adult industry. And P.S. – I’m a pro-sex feminist.

011_angela_white_x_rocco_reed_02What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of work?

I’m sexually motivated, so when I’m not having sex on camera, I like to be fucking off camera. I also like to read, spend time at the beach, go out for coffee, go to the gym … anything but shop.

Is there one thing about yourself that you feel would surprise a lot of people?

I’m actually quite shy. But they always warn you to look out for the quiet ones …

Are there any current or upcoming projects in the works that you would like to mention?

At the moment, I’m focusing on making my website as good as it possibly can be. The feedback so far has been amazing and fans are welcome to continue to send me suggestions. You can contact me on Twitter.com/AngelaWhite or members can chat to me during my live shows.

In closing, is there anything else you wish to say to readers?

I would like to thank my fans for their support over all these years. It really means so much to me. I hope you all continue to grow with me on this sexual journey.
